October is celebrated as Cooperative Month by cooperatives around the country. TREC is one of those cooperatives. We were formed in 1939 by concerned people in east central Alabama that wanted a better way of life than they currently knew. TREC has been through many good and bad times, but thanks to the dedication our members and employees, TREC is a source of reliable electricity serving almost 23,000 meters in Chambers, Randolph, Clay, Tallapoosa, Lee, Russell, and Barbour Counties in east central Alabama.
